The Goal

Little Life Files exists to give space to the parts of motherhood that often go unnoticed. The goal isn’t to teach or preach. It’s to document. To create a soft, honest place where women can feel seen in the middle of their messy, beautiful, ordinary days.

This isn’t a space for curated chaos or perfect routines. It’s for the real moments that don’t always make it to the grid. The half-finished coffee, the toddler breakdowns, the quiet wins, the identity shifts, the love that sneaks in when you’re not looking.

If even one mom reads something here and exhales a little, I’ve done what I came to do.

The Story

Hi, I’m Morgan.

I’m a mom, a writer, and someone who’s learning how to live fully in the middle of it all... before the dishes are done, before the story has a neat ending. I started Little Life Files during a season when I was craving something softer. Something slower. Something more honest than the highlight reels I kept scrolling past.

Motherhood cracked me open. It made me more tender and more tired than I ever expected. And somewhere in the middle of the mess, I realized I didn’t want to forget the little things. The almosts. The not-quites. The parts of life that don’t come with a filter but still carry weight.

This blog is my way of paying attention. Of telling the truth in small, imperfect ways. You’ll find reflections, quiet thoughts, creative moments, and the kinds of stories that come from living with your whole heart, even when your hands are full.

If you’ve ever felt stretched thin but still deeply present, if you’ve ever wanted to romanticize real life without pretending it’s perfect, this space is for you.

Welcome to the soft side of motherhood. I’m so glad you’re here.

Hi again. Since you’ve found your way here, I thought I’d share a little more about who I am beyond the blog and the motherhood lens.

I grew up in Clayton, North Carolina. Clayton is a small town where life moves slow and front porches matter. I was raised on sweet tea, Sunday mornings, and a lot of grace I didn’t always recognize until later.

In 2018, I got clean. That moment changed everything. It cracked me open in the hardest and most beautiful way. My faith played a huge part in that healing. It’s still what grounds me today, not in a performative way, but in the quiet way that holds you steady when life feels heavy. Jesus saved my life, and I don’t take that lightly.

Now I’m a mom, a student, a storyteller, and someone who’s still learning how to live gently in a world that moves fast. I’m studying graphic design and advertising because I believe stories matter, both the ones we see and the ones we create.

When I’m not writing or designing, you’ll probably find me with flour on my hands baking sourdough, digging in the garden, or thrifting something with history. I love old things, small moments, and creating beauty out of whatever I’ve been given.

This blog isn’t about perfection. It’s about process. It’s about faith, softness, and learning to live fully, even in the middle of the mess.

Thanks for being here. It means more than you know.
